We Are One Family
The boys at the FIKISHA rehabilitation program recently welcomed guest, Pastor Chris, as he took the time to share a little of the Bible with us. He told amazing stories of scripture, focusing on God’s family and the blessings that come from being a part of it.
Pastor Chris encouraged the boys to never lose hope in life.
In response, the boys spoke with vulnerability and courage about the challenges they face in their own day-to-day lives. The boys requested to be prayed for, so Pastor Chris prayed with them and told them to always seek comfort in the word of God. Here in this space, we all felt the presence and love of the Lord.
We are one family, God’s Family. Regardless of where you come from, what your economic status is, or what your friends and family say, we are all equal children in God’s eyes. We are all brothers and sisters and are called to love one another.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life,” John 3:16.
After meeting with the boys, Pastor Chris walked with us around the community of Kawangware, meeting and encouraging the faces he met. After his visit, he expressed his gratitude for the impact FIKISHA is making in the community.
Today we express our gratitude for the relationships we are able to form through FIKISHA and how God is working through them and moving in all of our hearts.
