Hello Fikisha Family,

We are so thankful for every one of you and your support of Fikisha over the past decade+.

The lives of kids, volunteers, and staff have been changed and we believe that we are just at the beginning of our work. 

The Lord is working powerfully, drawing us close to Him, teaching us to walk into communities and love our neighbors right where they are. He is faithful and blessing the work and the team.

Feeling the effects

COVID has created a need stronger than ever. After a year of being out of school completely, many teens (including our street scholars) could have fallen off the map, wandered without purpose, or gotten into trouble. In Kawangware, this didn’t happen. FIKISHA responded to the school shutdown with the creation of Changemakers, allowing students to continue studying, as well as grow as leaders. 

Schools reopened a few months ago, our students returned equipped, and Changemakers has continued. 

Now we face a new challenge.

Due to Covid, the Kenyan school year structure was altered and payments for school fees were moved, which has put us behind financially. 

At the same time, we’ve seen incredible growth in our young people, we’ve seen the need grow proportionally. 

Because of this, we are reaching out to our donors in a 2021 themed fundraising push.

We need your help now. 

We need to raise $21,000 and gain 21 new monthly donors this month to launch us into the end of the year.
